What to expect at a breast clinic appointment

A clinic visit usually combines a conversation, a physical examination and imaging on the same day. Knowing the steps makes the visit far less daunting.

Expect questions about your history, a careful examination, and then a mammogram or ultrasound (sometimes both). If anything needs a closer look, a needle biopsy may be done the same day. Results typically take about a week.
