Product

What is included in the Poorti kit?
One lightweight silicone gel breast prosthesis, two cotton prosthesis covers, two pocketed (mastectomy) bras and one prosthesis holder, all packed in a discreet waterproof outer kit. The prosthesis can also be bought without bras, and covers and bras are sold separately as accessories.
Is the Poorti prosthesis safe for my skin?
Yes. It is made in a clean, HEPA-filtered set-up from CE-grade silicone and CE-grade polyurethane film. In use, the prosthesis sits inside a cotton cover and then inside the bra pocket, so only soft, high-quality cotton touches your skin.
What material is used?
ISO-compliant lightweight silicone gel (imported from Germany) encapsulated in an ISO-compliant polyurethane film (imported from the UK), manufactured with our patented in-house process.
Why is “lightweight” important?
Inside a pocketed bra, almost all the weight of a prosthesis hangs from the shoulder strap — unlike a natural breast whose weight spreads across the chest wall. Heavier forms, especially larger sizes, commonly cause shoulder pain and a tilted posture. Poorti was developed with patients to be about a third lighter, and thousands of women across India use it comfortably.
What does the flat back do?
The flat back gives firm, stable contact with the body and prevents slipping during movement, unlike forms with a hollow (concave) back.
Why is there no nipple?
Poorti is a concealed prosthesis worn inside a cover and a bra. Based on patient feedback during development, nipples were left out — they would simply get pressed flat inside a bra.
Why is there an outer film and a thin rim on the back?
Soft silicone gel is sticky, so it is sealed in a polyurethane film (about 100 microns — roughly four times thicker than typical global standards) to keep clothes clean and improve durability. The 5 mm rim around the back is about three times wider than usual, again for durability; it does not affect comfort.

Sizing

How many shapes and sizes are there?
Two shapes — Triangular (T) and Oval / tear-drop (O) — in ten sizes each. T1 is triangular size 1, T10 is triangular size 10; O1 to O10 for oval. Kit prices rise by ₹250 per size.
What bra sizes and colours are available?
Pocketed bras come in eight sizes — 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44 and 46 inch — with five colours per size.
How do I know which size fits me?
Three options: visit a trial centre, book a trial at home (limited locations, convenience charge applies), or send us a photo of your chest area (below the neck) with your current bra size on WhatsApp — we analyse it and call you with the best-fitting size.

Usage & care

How do I wear the prosthesis?
First put the prosthesis into its cotton cover, then place the covered prosthesis in the bra pocket (right, left or both), and only then wear the bra. Stuffing the prosthesis into a bra you are already wearing presses the soft form and can rupture it over time. A one-minute video on our site shows the steps.
How do I remove it?
Take the bra off first, then take the prosthesis out of the pocket, remove the cover and rest the prosthesis in its holder. Never pull it out while the bra is on.
How long can I wear it each day?
The longer you wear it, the faster your body adapts. Avoid wearing it while sleeping if you sleep on your stomach, and during yoga or exercises where the front of the body presses against the floor.
When can I start wearing it after surgery?
Once the sutures have healed and there is no redness or discharge, you can start wearing the Poorti prosthesis.
Does water, sweat or temperature affect it?
Rain and normal sweat do not affect the prosthesis. Avoid sea water and chlorinated pools, which can affect the outer film. The prosthesis is made at about 120°C and is thermally stable — users wear it from -10°C to 50°C, including while cooking.
Why use covers, pocketed bras and the holder?
Covers keep things hygienic — wash the cover, not the soft prosthesis. Pocketed bras hold the prosthesis firmly so it does not slip when you bend, jump or dance. The holder is a safe home for the prosthesis when not in use and keeps its shape.
I see small wrinkles or black dots on my prosthesis. Is that normal?
Yes. Light wrinkling develops with use, just like ironed clothes, and does not affect function — do not press it to remove wrinkles. Tiny black dots (micro bubbles) can appear after a flight or a high-altitude trip because of air-pressure changes; they are harmless and usually fade within two to three weeks.
Can I cuddle children, drive with a seat belt, or fly with it?
Yes to all, with care. Children’s nails or sudden pressure can rupture the soft form, so be a little mindful. Do not snap a seat belt tight across it. On flights it is unnoticeable; if a body scanner flags it, simply inform security — staff are trained to treat survivors respectfully. As a medically necessary item it is exempt from liquid/gel rules in most countries.
Can I stick it to my body with adhesive, or repair it with glue or tape?
No. Always wear it inside the pocketed bra. A ruptured prosthesis cannot be repaired — it is a composite of silicone and film made in a single step.

Buying & delivery

What does a Poorti kit cost?
A complete kit (prosthesis + 2 pocketed bras + 2 covers + holder + waterproof kit) costs ₹4,750 to ₹7,000 depending on prosthesis size, inclusive of 5% GST. If you have ever paid more than this, contact us with proof for a full refund.
Is there a delivery charge?
Courier charges are ₹250 for one Poorti kit and ₹150 for 1–5 bras or covers (or a combination), in addition to the kit price. The exact charge is shown at checkout for your pincode.
How long does delivery take?
Immediately from stockist partners after a physical trial; otherwise 1–5 working days anywhere in India by trackable courier or Speed Post, depending on your distance from Delhi-NCR. For deliveries outside India, contact us.
Which couriers do you use?
Premium trackable couriers such as Bluedart, DTDC and Delhivery, depending on your pincode. You can track your order from your account or the Track Order page.
Can I buy accessories separately?
Yes — covers and pocketed bras are available in the Accessories section of the shop, or message us on WhatsApp.
Can I get a GST invoice?
Yes. Every order gets an automatic GST invoice that you can view and download from your account.

Returns & warranty

What is the return policy?
Because of the nature of the product we cannot accept returns. If you ordered after a physical trial, a size change is not possible. If we recommended a size from your photos without a physical trial and it does not fit, we will send a replacement kit once the ill-fitting kit reaches us — please send it back within a week of receiving it.
Is there a guarantee or warranty?
As with wearables everywhere, no warranty is offered on breast prostheses. Any manufacturing defect would show at the very first use. With the care described in the kit leaflet, Poorti kits last a few years.
What is the life span of the kit?
Durability equals care. Thousands of women have used Poorti since 2016 without manufacturing-related complaints; with the do’s and don’ts in the leaflet, users in different climates report a lifespan of a few years.
